Henry Taft Cobb Jr. is an accomplished musician who has studied and performed with many of the greats in music. Born in Kansas City, Kansas, and raised in Rochester, N.Y. he has an extensive background in African-American drumming, gospel, and jazz. He is also a flutist. As an educator, he has taught at the Elma Lewis School of Fine Arts, Berklee College of Music, and also privately. Henry now resides in Medford, Mass.
Drummer Joe Hunt is part of jazz history. Having played with Ornette Coleman, Stan Getz, Bill Evans, and many others, Mr. Hunt is the real thing. Joe is an educator with over thirty years teaching experience. Having taught at the Berklee College of Music, he currently teaches at New England Conservatory.
Pablo Landrum-aside from being an educator who has taught at Berklee College of Music and at the Jazzmobile in New York-was a brilliant musician with over eighty record credits to his name. He has recorded with a long list of musicians including, Freddie Hubbard, Herbie Hancock, Babatunde, Olunyunji, Leon Thomas and many more.
Ed Saindon has well over thirty years teaching at the Berklee College of Music. He is a brilliant musician, as well as a master at the vibraphone. Ed has also performed and recorded with a number of great musicians.
Coming together to pay tribute and salute the efforts to some of Boston’s finest musicians who are also professors at Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory. Mr. Cobb says that out of all the great instructors he had at Berklee over thirty years ago these three deserved to be saluted for their many dedicated years of teaching, and the powerful influence they have made in his life and lives of so many others.
