The Unit is Lello Molinari on bass, Phil Neighbors on drums and Russ Gershon, leader of the Either/Orchestra, on alto sax (instead of his customary tenor).
The trio plays non-standard jazz tunes plus songs by Monk, Mingus, Metheny, the Meters and other artists whose names don't begin with "M."
Instead of a traditional concert or club setting, this will be more of a party, with light food and beverages. We'll supply some, but please BYO beer or wine.
The party starts at 7, music won't start till 8 and there just may be some other artists playing too....
