Tufts Sunday Concert Series: Fernando Huergo Big Band at Distler Performance Hall, Granoff Music Center

Bassist and composer Fernando Huergo's latest project features his original compositions and arrangements for big band. Consisting of some of Boston's finest musicians, the group plays the music of Thelonious Monk, Wayne Shorter, Dave Holland, Antonio Loureiro, and Huergo. The music features odd meters and a modern approach of the big band sound, and appears on Huergo's upcoming album.
